Tri-County Bank-Cheyenne, located on 421 Vandehei Avenue, Tri-County Bank-Cheyenne, located on 421 Vandehei Avenue, opened its doors in April of 2000. At that time it was a branch of Tri-County Bank-Torrington, WY (opening in Torrington, WY in 1935), along with another branch in Wheatland, WY (opening in Wheatland, WY in 1975). On March 31, 2001 the Bank Charter of Torrington was moved to Tri-County Bank, making it a Chartered Bank vs. a branch and called Tri-County Bank.
On March 31, 2001 the two banks joined the Platte Valley Financial Service Companies, Inc., also referred to as Platte Valley Companies, an integrated financial and insurance organization, with locations in Wyoming and Nebraska; to include: (1) Tri-County Bank-Cheyenne on Vandehei and N. College Drive, Cheyenne, WY; (2) Platte Valley Bank-Torrington, Wheatland, and Casper, WY; (3) Platte Valley Bank-NE. -Scottsbluff Main, Plaza, Centennial, Morrill, Minatare and Bridgeport; (4) Platte Valley Ag Credit Co., Scottsbluff, NE; (5) P V Mortgage Company, Scottsbluff, NE; (6) Platte Valley Investment Center, Scottsbluff, NE; and (7) J.G. Elliott Insurance Center, Scottsbluff, NE, McBrayer Insurance Center, Torrington, WY; and McBrayer Insurance Center, Wheatland, WY; and C.H. Brown Co., LLC, a premier equipment financing company, located in Wheatland, WY in 2008. Currently, the organization's assets total $588,250,000.00 as of June 30, 2009.
On February 28, 2005 Platte Valley Bank-Wheatland built and moved into their new bank facility located at 200 16th Street. The building has 6500 square feet with plenty of parking, two drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM, and also has a Community Room for Ambassador Club events and community meetings. This was a beautiful addition and investment in the Wheatland Community.
On September 25, 2007 Tri-County Bank opened a second full service remodeled facility, which is a branch of the Tri-County Bank-Cheyenne on Vandehei. The new Bank is located at 3310 North College Drive in Cheyenne.

New and great improvements have been made to serve the needs of our customers.
On March 31, 2009, Platte Valley Financial Service Companies, Inc. acquired the Bank of Wyoming in Casper, WY, which is located on 3131 Wyoming Blvd. SW in Casper near Sutherlands, and is now called Platte Valley Bank-Casper.
April 2009, Platte Valley Bank-Torrington, WY... completed a major addition and remodel of its current building, which more than doubled the size of the existing bank. This has provided more room and privacy for customer banking. The addition also includes a large ground level community room for Ambassador Club events, and availability to the community for meetings and events.
