In 2004 Platte Valley Companies joined with a group of bankers and investors in Colorado to form Mountain Valley Bank. Our vision was to combine the financial strength and expertise of Platte Valley Companies with the drive, enthusiasm and contacts of our Colorado partners to develop a network of community banks in Colorado. Our strategy was to provide the type of personalized customer service that has been the hallmark of our success in Nebraska and Wyoming. Our agreement with the Colorado Shareholders also included the goal of one day selling our controlling interest in the bank to the local investor group. On the week of Sep. 10, 2007 the goal for the Colorado Shareholders came to fruition. The sale means that Mountain Valley Bank will no longer be a subsidiary of Platte Valley Companies, but we continue to hold a significant investment in that company. We would like to thank all associates for the hard work and dedication that made this venture a success!

Tri-County National Bank opens its second full service bank facility, located at 3310 North College Drive in Cheyenne.

Platte Valley National Bank-Torrington began a major addition and remodel of its current building, which will more than double the size of the existing bank. This will provide more room and privacy for customer banking business; allow employees on the main floor that are currently working in basement offices and for continued growth. The addition will also include a large ground level community room for Ambassador Club events and available to the community for meetings and events.

C.H. Brown Co., LLC joined Platte Valley Companies. It finances mobile and stationary equipment for the agricultural, industrial, transportation, and construction industries.
