Tri-County Bank announces a new product to better serve you, our customer! Whether you are a small family business or a big corporation, Remote Deposit Capture can save you time and money.
What is it?
Remote Deposit Capture allows business owners to capture electronic images of checks and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) information right at their place of operation and send to the bank for same day deposit through a secure internet connection.
Who uses it?
Remote Deposit Capture is ideal for businesses whose payments from customers come in the form of checks, money orders, cashier's checks or traveler's checks; have a limited number of staff to courier deposits to bank locations; and/or have a location or multiple locations not within close proximity to a Tri-County Bank. Businesses of any size or payment volume can use the check scanners provided by Tri-County Bank to expedite the task of capturing images of check payments and sending the electronic files to Tri-County Bank for same day deposits.
How does it work?
When you begin using Remote Deposit Capture, your business will find certain times that work best during the day to run batch captures of payments. As the checks are ran through the scanner connected to your PC, electronic images along with the MICR information are captured and sent as an encrypted electronic file to Tri-County Bank to be deposited directly into your Tri-County Bank account. All transmissions sent and confirmed before 4:30 p.m. will be deposited the same day into your account.

Remote Deposit Capture will save you time and money. You no longer need to waste valuable time and gas driving across town to deposit your checks before the bank closes. And with Remote Deposit Capture, your checks are deposited into your account the same day if sent and confirmed before 4:30 p.m.
How secure is it?
All communications are securely encrypted for the protection of your data.
What equipment will I need?
Your computer must meet the minimum requirements to run Remote Deposit Capture:
- 1 GB RAM
- USB 2.0 port
- Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
- Acrobat Reader 9.0 or later version
- Java plug-in 1.4.2 or later version
- Keyboard, mouse and 17" monitor
How much does this service cost?
Tri-County Bank will retain ownership of the scanner. All you pay for is a monthly service fee based on the size of the scanner. The scanner you need is based on the volume of documents you process monthly.
